WordPress Plugin of the week this week is a bit of a “techy” one Asset Queue Manager by Nate Wright.

What is it?

Asset Queue Manager allows you to monitor, dequeue and requeue scripts and styles that are enqueued on your WordPress website. Which means you can take control of what styles and scripts are loading on your WordPress website.

Why do you need it?

This plugin is particularly handy if you’re using a commercial off-the-shelf WordPress theme that is loading everything when it shouldn’t be. It is aimed more at the front-end and WordPress developers out there. However if you’re not a front-end or WP developer but you’re willing to give it a try, it is actually pretty straight forward.

I’d definitely recommend backing up your WordPress install before you activate it and start using it, just in case. UpdraftPlus is a good backup plugin I’d recommend.

How much does it cost?

Asset Queue Manager by Nate Wright is 100% free.
