It’s an interesting article (and very true that you shouldn’t always assume you need some great big heavy framework/bootstrap/whatnot to build a project with), but it’s also a bit ironic in a way – (almost) all of the jQuery examples are simpler and read better out-loud, proving that from a maintainability point of view at least, it’s most likely a better option than vanilla JavaScript!

Some of them I thought were very similar, some others were rather complicated. I think the reliance on frameworks on libraries does need to be thought about though.
